Dr. Pang Ming (庞明) is also known as Pang He Ming, is the founder of Zhineng Qigong, the Qigong Science. He was born in 1940 in Ding Xing Town, Hebei Province, China.

He was part of a big extended family that included practitioners of Daoist and folk qigong. He studied under nineteen Masters, some of whom sought him out to pass on their knowledge. Dr. Pang learnt and was nourished by qigong, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and the martial arts. Later he studied Western medicine in Beijing and worked in a clinic that combined Western medicine and TCM after graduation.

In 1980’s Dr. Pang started a modern qigong, based on Daoist and Buddhist practices and thinking, medical knowledge and modern science, folk qigong and martial arts teachings. He named his new qigong style “Zhineng Qigong”. He then introduced the theory and methods to the public. Many scientific experiments were carried out to prove the external qi exists as a substance. Qi field healing method are introduced and was widely. This opened a new era for qigong.

Zhineng Qigong

Zhineng Qigong was founded by Mr. Pang Ming, also known as Pang He Ming, in the early 1980s. Dr Pang was trained in Chinese and Western medicine and received tutelage from 19 Grandmasters in qigong and martial arts. Zhineng Qigong merges the essences of various schools of traditional Qigong, tradition Chinese medical, modern science, medicine and philosophy. Using our consciousness/mind to mobilise Qi is an important practice of Zhineng Qigong.

Zhineng Qigong is well-known as an effective qigong method for healing, strengthening health, healing of ailments, improving the level of self-cultivation, and developing human potential.

Zhineng Qigong initiated External Qi healing by building Qi field, and has proven to be effective in Qi healing. Its practice emphasizes in opening one’s mind to enable internal Qi to merge with external qi. This process is to enhance the Qi flow of the Qi channels and to increase the Qi of the body. A healthy body is always abundant of Qi with no blockage.

The main difference between Qigong and physical exercise is how we use our minds. In Qigong, one direct the mind inwards, towards the activity within the body, while in most exercises the mind is directed externally upon the competitors or target. Qigong practice reduces the consumption of energy, slowing down the process of metabolism. It regulates the order of internal life activity, therefore increasing life vitality.

Apart from Qigong physical practice, healing activities, the study of Qi is now an academic subject and academic research and experiments are being carried out, in fields like agriculture, arts, and many more. This open a new era for Qigong as Qigong Science.
